In 2025, the Cheeky Division All Stars will be replaced by two Dept of Rock shows in the Canberra Comedy Festival in March – an exciting new venture for Dept of Rock!
Each year the Dept of Rock organises All Stars gigs at Smith’s Alternative to showcase and celebrate the amazing bands that entered the previous year’s band competition.
As part of the fun of the Dept of Rock universe, Madam Secretary (Leanne) presents the All Star shows under the banner of imagined ‘divisions’ where
bands are broadly grouped by a common theme or musical genre – such as Cheeky Division (comedy bands), Cruisin' Division (our more laid back bands) and Cranked Division (high energy and volume rock bands).
Dept of Rock All Star gigs are great fun as bands play longer sets on the fantastic Smith’s stage with not a judge in sight. Similar to a mini festival, All Star gigs have multiple bands on a line up and Smith’s offers individual band or whole show ticket options.
